Praise the Lord friends, I’m beginning my teaching today on the parable of the sower. And Jesus said, if you can understand this parable, then you can understand every aspect of the Kingdom of God, because the principles that are laid out in the parable of the sower are the principles by which the entire Kingdom operates. And you know what the Word of God is producing a harvest in your life. Open your heart, receive the Word today. We’re gonna be sharing a very powerful principle about how the Word of God can change your life. We’re gonna be sharing from Mark chapter four on the parable of the sower. Jesus said, if you can understand this parable, you can understand how the entire Kingdom of God operates. So I want you to open your heart and receive the Word of God today. We’re gonna begin in Mark 4:11-14. “And He said unto them, “‘Unto you it is given to know the mystery “‘of the Kingdom of God, “‘but unto them are who are on the outside “‘all of these things are done in parables “‘that seeing they may see and perceive “‘in hearing, they may hear and not understand. “‘list at any time they would be converted “‘and their sins would be forgiven.’ “And He said unto them, “‘Don’t you understand this parable? “‘How then will you understand all parables? “‘The sower sows the Word.'” Now Jesus is talking about the difference between His disciples and the world. And it’s amazing that Jesus could teach in parables and He could teach something that made sense to the world, and yet they didn’t understand the spiritual principle behind it. And then when He would go to His disciples, He would explain to His disciples, the spiritual principle that was behind the natural parable that He was teaching. So Jesus could teach, it would be, understandable to everyone that was there and yet there was a spiritual meaning, there also was a natural meaning. And that way He could get across a spiritual principle. And what we’re talking about is if you can understand the spiritual principles that are laid out behind the parable of the sower, you can understand everything in the Kingdom of God. He said, if you don’t understand this parable, how will you know all parables? In other words, everything in the Kingdom works based on the principle of the sower and the seed. Okay? And as we begin to look at this, He begins to share. He says, “Unto you, it’s given “to know the mysteries of the Kingdom of God.” He wanted His disciples to understand the mysteries of the Kingdom of God. He says to those who are on the outside, those who were not His disciples, “He said, ‘All these things are done in parables “‘that seeing they may see.'” So they saw, they understood the natural principle, but they didn’t understand the spiritual principle behind it. He says, “Seeing they may see and not perceive “and hearing, they may hear and not understand.” So Jesus could communicate. He could keep it interesting, He could keep their attention, and there would be those natural people there that didn’t have an understanding of the spiritual principle yet they could understand the natural thing He was talking about. There would also be His disciples. And His disciples could understand the spiritual principle behind the natural thing that He was teaching. He said, if they understand, “if they’re converted, their sins will be forgiven. “If you understand this parable, “you can then understand all parables.” Then we went on end of verse 14, where He begins to explain the parable of the sower, and says the sower sows the Word. Now today we’re gonna talk about the power and the life of the Word. And what’s in that Word, praise God. Because that Word, the Word of God is an eternal incorruptible seed. It’s an eternal Word of God. It’s an incorruptible seed and it will bear fruit. the Word of God bears fruit. And when you’re born again, the Bible actually says this, we’ll talk about this today. But in 1 Peter 1:23, “You’re born again by the incorruptible seed “of the Word of God that is living and abiding forever.” So when you’re born again, when you’re born of the Word, you have the seed, the incorruptible seed of the Word of God, and it is living and abiding forever. Now the first thing that I wanna look at as we begin into this teaching is the nature of this seed. When Jesus says the sower sows the Word or the nature of the Word of God. The Word of God will never lose its power. The Word of God is eternal in its application. And again, we quote the scripture in 1 Peter 1:23 that says, “We’re born again not by a corruptible seed “not like a natural seed that passes away “but by an incorruptible seed “that lives and abides forever.” In Matthew 24:35, Jesus said it this way, He said “Heaven and earth shall pass away “but my words shall not pass away.” You see the Word of God is eternal and the Word of God is unchanging. The Word of God will never lose its power. So when you build your foundation, the foundation of your life on the Word of God, you’re gonna be bringing forth fruit throughout eternity. Isn’t that awesome? And I wanna turn to this scripture in Hebrews chapter six and read Hebrew 6:13 on down through verse 18. He’s talking about how God spoke to Abraham. God made a promise to Abraham, it says. And it says, “Because He could swear by no greater, “He swear by Himself saying, “‘Surely blessing, I will bless you “‘and multiplying, I will multiply you.’ “And so after Abraham had patiently endured, “he obtained the promise. “For men barely square by the greater “and an oath for confirmation “is to them and end all strifes.” So men will swear by a judge, so on and so forth and they have an oath and that’s an end of the strife, but he says, “God, who is willing more abundantly “to show the heirs of the promise, “the unchangeability of His counsel, “confirmed it by an oath.” So we have the unchangeable Word today of an unchangeable God. That by two unchangeable things, in that is impossible for God to lie. Number one, His Word is truth it’s unchangeable. Number two, it’s impossible for God to lie. “We might have a strong confidence who have fled “for a refuge to lay a hold on the hope set before us.” Thank God, the Word of God creates hope on the inside of us and we can hope in the Word of God. So the Word of God, will never lose its power. It’s eternal, it’s unchanging, it’s all powerful. You see the Bible actually tells us in Hebrew 1:3 that Jesus upholds all things by the Word of His power. Thank God the Word of God has power and Jesus upholds all things by the Word of His power. Scientists don’t understand really what holds matter together because matter is made of like things and like things tend to repel. Like if you take two positives of magnets, they tend to repel or two negatives they tend to repel. And matter is made up of that but it’s the Word of God that holds all those things together. In fact, scientists have discovered that the smallest thing that holds everything together is a quark. And that’s a sound well, it’s the sound of God’s Word that’s holding what we see the universe together. And so Jesus upholds all things by the Word of His power. So the Word of God is eternal, the Word of God is unchanging, the Word of God is powerful. Do you know there is power in the Word? When you begin to understand the power of the Word, you begin to release that power by speaking the Word of God. Jesus spoke the Word and the Word changes things. God spoke His Word and the Word created what? The universe. And so when you begin to understand how powerful the Word of God is in your mouth, you begin to speak it, you begin to see the power of that Word released in your life. Numbers 23:19 says this, “God is not a man that He should lie, “neither the Son of Man that He should repent. “What He has said, He will do. “What He has spoken, He will make it good.” Praise God. If God gives a Word, that Word goes out of God’s mouth. And that Word goes into eternity where it produces fruit. That Word will never lose its power. God never changes His Word. If God was change His Word, everything that we see would disintegrate because everything that you see is being held together by the Word of God. And so “God’s not a man that He should lie, “neither the Son of Man that He should repent.” What He’s spoken, He’s gonna do. What He said, He’s gonna make it good. Praise God? The Word of God is not only eternal, unchanging, powerful truth, but the Word of God is consistent. In Genesis 1:11, God set up the earth and God set up the system here so that every seed will produce after its own kind. For instance, if you plant watermelons, they’re gonna bring forth watermelons. If you plant corn, it’s gonna bring forth corn. If you plant radishes, it brings forth radishes, whatever you sow, you’re gonna reap. And that’s how the Word of God works. So whatever we sow in the Word of God, praise God, we’re gonna reap a harvest off that. So when you sow the Word in your heart, the Word of God is going to bring a harvest in your heart and it will bring a harvest of life, of health, of good things, we’ll talk more about that today. Friends, I wanna take just a moment to share with you something that I believe has the power to change your life. I’m talking about the Word of God, and I’ve got a special package that I’m making of available I’m calling it “The Word Package”. In the first teaching that I have is a three CD teaching on the parable of sower. The other one that I have is a multiple CD teaching on the power and life of the Word. And then I have the book, “The Power and Life of the Word” and you know what, these are principles that I have found in my life that work. The Bible says in Isaiah 55:10-11, that the Word of God that comes from heaven produces a harvest. It does not return void. It accomplishes what God pleases and it prospers the thing He sends it to. And we have a special offer. You can get either one of the CD teachings or the book itself, or you can get all three and you know what? The best deal is to get ’em all three. We know if you get this, that it will bless you and help you. Thanks so much. The nature of the seed is this, the Word never lose its power. It’s unchanging, powerful, true, and consistent. And thank God it remains the same. I have so many people that they’re so inconsistent. They’re changing every day. They say one thing one day, one thing another day. I mean, they don’t even know what they said, depending on what side of the bed they woke up on. And I think that’s why so many people lack confidence in the Word of God because they don’t keep their own word. The Bible says that a good name is rather to be chosen than great riches and your word is your bond. So you need to learn how, if you give your word, you keep your word and if you’re gonna change your word, change from what you said, there needs to be a good reason that you change. And you need to explain that to the people that you made promises to so on and so forth. And so we live in a world that’s just so inconsistent. They say one thing and do another. They promise one thing and do another, but we wanna keep our word. We wanna speak the Word. We wanna keep the Word consistent in our life. So that is the nature of the seed, the Word will never lose its power. You see the nature of God in the is actually released through the Word of God. And the nature of God, the Word of God will cause positive growth. You see the Word produces positive things. Here’s an example. In 1 Peter 2:2 the scripture says, “As newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the Word” or the pure milk of the Word, he says “that you may know that the Lord is gracious.” So desire the sincere milk of the Word. The Word of God produces after its own kind. You see the Word of God will only produce life and health, and blessing, and good. the Word of God is incapable of producing death. Why? Because the Word is life. the Word is incapable of producing sickness, disease or lack because that’s not the nature of the Word. The nature of the Word is only good because the Word, “In the beginning was the Word, the Word was with God, “and the Word was God. “The same was in the beginning with God, “all things were made by Him, “without Him was not anything made that was made. “So the Word and God are consistent. And so God we know, according to the scripture is a good God and God does good things. We know this because James 1:17 says, “Every good and every perfect gift comes down from above “from the Father of light, with whom there is no, “variableness neither shadow of turning.” So if it’s changeable, see God is… We have the unchangeable Word of an unchangeable God. And if it’s changeable, it’s not from God. God only gives good things. Jesus said it this way in John 10:10 He said, “It’s the thief that comes to steal to kill and destroy “but I have come to give you life “and that life more abundantly.” Thank God the Word of God is life and it gives more abundant life. Now in James 3:17-18, the scripture talks about the wisdom that is from above or the wisdom that is from God. So God only does good, He only produces good, right? That He doesn’t have anything else to give, according to James 1:17. Verse 16 says, “Do not err my beloved brother.” In other words, do not move away from this. Jesus then said in John 10:10, “It’s the thief that comes to steal, kill and destroy “but I’ve come to give you life and life abundantly.” So if it has to do with stealing, killing, destruction, it is not from God. But if it has to do with life and life abundant, it’s from God. And so God is good, He only does good. And the devil is evil. You add one “O” to God and you have good. You take the “D” off devil and you have evil. So I just never separate that. I keep my doctrine simple, praise God. God is the author of good, He’s the author of life, He’s the author of light of love, He’s the author of health, He’s the author of peace, He’s the author of righteousness. The devil on the other hand is the author of death and destruction, and darkness, and evil praise God. Now, as we look at this scripture in James 3:17-18, he says the wisdom that is from above, he says “is first pure then peaceable, “gentle and easy to be intrigued.” In other words, if you need to go to God and ask Him something, He’s easy to approach. Full of mercy and good fruits without partiality and without hypocrisy, and the fruit of peace is sewn in those who make peace. So the nature of the seed is this, the Word of God is eternal, it will never lose its power. “It’s unchanging, powerful, true, and consistent.” And the nature of God, when we think about the seed is it causes positive growth. That’s all it can do because that’s all it has in it. Praise God. You cannot take a corn seed and get weeds to grow from corn seed. You can’t get kochia weeds to grow out of a corn seed. Why? Because it’s good. It can only produce corn because that’s what it is. So the seed of the Word of God is a good seed and it only produces life. It only produces blessing. It only produces good things. That’s all it can produce because that’s what it is. Now, the third thing I want to talk about when we talk about this parable of the sower, and if you can understand this parable, you can understand all parables is the nature of the harvest. You see the Word of God will bring a harvest like itself. Here’s an example in Acts 13:6, that they were preaching and they said, “Unto you is this Word of salvation sent.” You see, it’s the Word of God that produces salvation. He says, unto you first is this Word of salvation sent. You see Paul said it this way in Romans 1:16 he says, “I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ “for it is the power of God to salvation “to everyone who believes it. “To the Jew first and also to the Gentiles.” You see, he says in the gospel, in the Word of God, amen. “I’m not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God.” It releases the power of God that leads to salvation. Praise God, that leads now what is salvation? If we study out the Greek word for salvation in Romans 1:16, the Word for salvation is Soteria. And it includes forgiveness, healing, peace, protection, and provision. That’s all part of salvation. It’s talking about wellbeing, spirit, soul, and body. So Paul says, “I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ. “I’m not ashamed of the Word of God “for it is the power of God,” or it releases the power of God “unto salvation.” The Word of God releases the power of God unto forgiveness. The Word of God releases the power of God unto healing. The Word of God releases the power of God unto peace. The Word of God releases the power of God unto freedom. The Word of God releases the power of God unto God’s provision. So Paul says I’m not ashamed of the gospel of Christ for it’s the power of God under salvation, under whole, the spirit, soul, and body wellbeing. He says to everyone who believes it, if you want it to work for you, you’ve gotta believe it. Recently I wrote a book on provision, “Releasing Supernatural Increase in your Life”, and it’s a powerful book. I’ve taught my children the principles of this book, and you know what, all of my children are in their thirties and they’re all super naturally blessed. They have good lives. They work in different areas of life and they’re blessed. They’re all involved in the church. They’re all involved in the body of Christ. They all have good families. They all have good jobs and they’re all millionaires too. And you know what, I didn’t give it to ’em but you see that’s a principle and I taught them the principles that I wrote in this book and they they’ve got a hold of it, and it has changed their life. Now, Dr. Jesse Duplantis, Andrew Wommack, and Dr. Doug Weiss, all three, wrote me a forward for this book. And I put ’em in the book in different ways. But when they wrote this, every one of ’em essentially said the same thing. They said, it won’t work for you unless you believe it. But if you believe the Word of God, the Word of God will release the life of God in you, amen. The Word of God will release salvation. The Word of God will release forgiveness, and provision, and peace, and healing, praise God. The Word of God and protection releases those things. It’s in the nature of the Word. And so in Acts 13:26 again, they were preaching, they said, “Unto you is this Word of salvation sent.” Now Jesus said this in John 17, He was actually praying first of all for His disciples and then praying for those who would believe on Him through the Word of the disciples. And he said, “Sanctify them through thy Word “or through thy truth, thy word is truth.” So He’s praying in verse 15, He said, I’m praying that you wouldn’t take them out of the world, but I’m praying that you would keep them from the evil. Well, how does He keep us from the evil in the world? He says, He keeps us from the evil in the world through the truth of His Word. “Set them apart through thy truth, thy Word is truth.” So what does the Word of God produce? It produces salvation. It produces sanctification, and there’s protection in there. It also produces freedom. In John chapter eight Jesus was teaching, and as He was teaching many Jews there believed on Him and He spoke to them in verse 31. And He said, “If you continue in the Word of God,” in my word, “then you’ll be my disciples indeed.” And He goes on in verse 32 and He says, “And you shall know the truth “and the truth shall make you free.” Praise God, in other words, if you wanna walk in true freedom, you need to continue in the Word of God as a disciple, as a disciplined student of Jesus. One who hears what He says and does what He says. You see when you read the parable of the wise man in Matthew chapter seven, Jesus talks about it this way. He said there are two people and they’re building this house. And the foolish person built their house on the sand. And the wise men took their time and they dug deep and they founded on a rock, and they built their house on a rock. Now, guess what? When you looked at the foolish man, you thought, “Man, this guy has an amazing house. “It’s a beautiful house, it’s a big house. “It’s an awesome house, it’s palacious.” But then you look at the wise men, and you might not have thought much of him because he was taking his time and he was digging deep, and he was building on that rock. But then the storm came. And when the storm came, did you know storms come to everyone? When the storm came and hit the house of the foolish man, it fell flat because it was not founded deep on that rock of the Word of God. But he said when it hit the house of the wise man, it stood strong because it was founded on the rock. You know the difference in the wise man and the foolish man, if you study that parable and look at it closely? The only real difference was that the wise man was building his house on the rock. Dr. Lester Sumrall went to a good friend of mine and he was actually an assistant pastor at a church. And he was preaching at that church, Dr. Sumrall was, and so he went to this good friend of mine and he just looked at him one day and he said, “Dig a hole.” Then he just walked off. And the next day he came and he said, “Do you understand what I mean?” And the young man said, “Yes, I think that you’re talking about “building a foundation.” He said, “Yes, sir that’s exactly what I’m talking about.” You see if you’re gonna build a great skyscraper, you have to go about half as deep as you go high up in the sky to build a foundation in the ground because if you don’t have a foundation that thing’s gonna fall down. But praise God, if you’ll take your time and if you’ll dig deep, and if you’ll build your house on the rock of the Word of God, when the storms of this life come, they will not put you out, they will not knock you down. Praise God, but you will stand strong. Praise God so I want you to build your house on the rock. This solid rock of the Word of God. Jesus said to these disciples in John chapter eight, “If you continue in my Word, “you will know that you will be my disciples indeed. “And you will know the truth.” You’ll come to experience the truth. “And the truth will make you free.” You see it’s the truth that you know, that makes you free. Not only does this Word produce salvation, sanctification, truth, freedom, the Word of God produces life. The Bible talks about this in 1 John 1, and he said that, or we could say Him, “whose from the beginning, “which we’ve heard, which we’ve seen with our eyes, “which we’ve looked upon and our hands have handled “of the Word of life.” See Jesus said it this way in John 5:39, he said, search the scriptures for in them, you think that you have eternal life and they are they that testify of me. Not only does the Word produce salvation, sanctification, truth, freedom in life, but the Word of God produces health. In Proverbs chapter 4:20-22 the writer says “My son attend my words, “give ear to my sayings, “keep them in the midst of your heart. “Keep them before your eyes for they are life “to those that find them and health to all their flesh.” Thank God the Word of God produces health. Psalm 107 verse 20 says He sent His Word and healed them and delivered them from their destruction. Again, healing and freedom come from the Word of God. The last one that I have that the Word of God will produce in your life is the Word of God will produce prosperity. In Isaiah 55:10-11 He says, “So shall my word be “that goes forth outta my mouth. “It will accomplish what I please “and prosper the thing that I send it to.” You see what you do today with the Word of God, determines what the Word of God will do for you. And so if you want the Word of God to produce salvation, sanctification, truth, freedom, health, life, and provision, praise God, you’ve gotta hide the Word deep in your heart. Praise God and that Word will produce a harvest throughout eternity. Friends thanks so much for tuning into the broadcast. If you need prayer today, give us a call, we would love to hear from you. Blessings.
