When we were raising our three boys we knew as we taught them the TRUTH that knowledge would EMPOWER them to succeed in every area of their lives!  

The TRUTH is this:  THERE IS A GOD, AND HE LOVES YOU!  We told our children every day they were loved by God and us.  I’m not talking about religion and law, but the absolute unconditional love that God has for all of us.  Psalm 23:6 says, “Surely goodness and MERCY shall follow me all the days of my life.”  I like another version:

So why should I fear the future? For your goodness and LOVE PURSUE me all the days of my life.

Our children need to know that there is a God who is absolutely in love with them.  In fact, His love pursues them ALL THE DAYS OF THEIR LIVES.

God thinks about us and our children so many times a day that it can’t be counted.

…Your thoughts toward us cannot be recounted to You in order; If I would declare and speak of them, they are more than can be numbered.

Psalm 40:5

Recently I saw a post someone shared regarding a protest by people who were carrying signs that said, “Satan loves you.”  LIES, LIES, LIES!!!

That is so far from the truth.  Again the TRUTH must be proclaimed and declared in our homes.  Satan does not love you, he wants to destroy you.  

Look at I Peter 5:8-9; “Be sober be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.  Resist him, steadfast in the faith . . . “  When our son Aaron was just two years old he was going around in our neighborhood telling everyone, “God is good, the devil is bad.”  EMPOWER your children with the TRUTH it will be a wall of protection for them.

The devil steals, kills, and destroys (John 10:10).  God gives and gives, over and over.  Life and abundant blessings!

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life and that they may have it MORE ABUNDANTLY.

There was a scripture that I memorized  as a child in Sunday School, and we had our children memorize it as well.

For God SO LOVED THE WORLD that HE GAVE His only begotten SON, that  whoever believes in Him should NOT PERISH but have everlasting life.

John 3:16

Empower your children with the TRUTH.  There is a God, and He loves them.
