Miracles of Jesus: Stories of Hope and Transformation – Pastor Lawson Perdue

Jesus’ three ministry years were full of recorded miracles. Scriptures give us glimpses of some miracles through the eyes and different perspectives of the four gospel writers. The miracles ranged from physical healings and demonic deliverances to miracles of nature and bringing the dead back to life. John informs us that Jesus performed many more miracles than were recorded. John 21:25 says, “And there are also many other things that Jesus did, which if they were written one by one, I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written. Amen.”

Check out this list of the miracles of Jesus in order of where they appear.

Maybe you’ve heard that Jesus’ miracles were only for that time period, or dispensation. What a sad world this would be if Jesus’ power and authority were not available to us right now! Praise the Lord that when Jesus returned to heaven, God sent the Holy Spirit to dwell in His believers and give us power and authority in Jesus’ name to do greater things than Jesus did while He was on the earth (John 14:12).

Miracles of Jesus and Their Lessons

Why did Jesus do miracles? The miracles Jesus performed in the Bible and their lessons speak prophetically to us today. When Jesus healed the first blind person and the news spread throughout the region, suddenly, blind people had hope that what Jesus did for that other blind person—He could do for them. We know that Jesus is no respecter of persons (Romans 2:11). His power to transform lives continues through the Holy Spirit who lives in believers. The miracles were recorded in the Bible so that you could read them and believe in miracles in your life. Just as Jesus’ miracles inspire you, the miracles you see and experience can speak hope to others that God will do the same thing for them. Take time to write down what God has already done for you and those you know. Share these testimonies with those who need hope, and let’s watch miracles become routine in our churches and lives—like they were in Jesus’ ministry!

At Charis Christian Center in Colorado Springs, we believe that Jesus still performs miracles because we see them! We invite you to visit us and let us pray and believe with you to see Jesus perform miracles in your life. Each week, we focus on what the Word of God says and believe it above what our circumstances tell us. When you invite the Word of God to work in your life, you will be filled with hope as you see your life transformed.
