Spirit of Excellence 2: Life of Daniel Part 5 – Lawson Perdue – 11/18/2024

Praise the Lord. Friends, I’m so glad that you’ve tuned into the broadcast. Today, we’re sharing on the spirit of excellence from the life of Daniel, and one thing that stood out about Daniel was he was bold and he had courage to say what God said about the situation. And to do that, we need a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit. So open your heart. Receive the word of God today. Blessings. I read a book in ninth, it was written in 1964. I read it, you know, in about 1984 or five. It was written by Finis Dake. It was called “God’s Plan for Man” and Finis Dake wrote before he died in 1964 that the iron curtain would have to come down. And he said “If the iron curtain did not come down, then those nations that were once part of the Roman Empire could not come into a common under a common leader. And he said for Bible prophecy to be fulfilled, that would happened.” He thought it would happen by a war. But he wrote this in 1964 and then he died. I read it in 1984 and then I saw it happen just like Dr. Sumrall said and prophesied about, and listen, when Andrew Wommack spoke last year in August, I thought, could this thing be, could this thing be? And I remembered the word of the Lord and how it came to pass, hallelujah. And I thought it could be. Hallelujah. Daniel sought a transition of power. Hallelujah. He saw it shortly before it came and then he was there when it came. I believe there’s a transition of power. I believe that things are changing and things are changing for the good. “Out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceedingly great toward the south, toward the east, toward the pleasant land, and it waxed great even to the host of heaven. But it was cast down some of the hosts and the stars to the ground and stamped upon them. He magnified himself. This is antichrist that he sees that rises out of this revised Roman empire, even to the prince of the host of heaven by the daily Sacrifice was taken away and the place of his sanctuary was cast down and the host was given to him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression. And it cast down the truth of the ground and it practiced, it operated in witchcraft and prospered. Then I heard a saint speaking in verse 13, and another saints said unto the certain saint concerning the daily sacrifice and the transgression of desolation to give both of the sanctuary and the host trodden underfoot. And he said to me, under 2,300 days shall the sanctuary be cleansed. So that’s about 6.4 years.” Did you know that antichrist is gonna reign only for about seven years? Verse 17 says, “So he came near where I stood and when I, he came, I was afraid and fell upon my face and he said unto me, understand this is Gabriel speaking to him, giving him revelation. Oh son, a man for the time of the end shall be the vision.” Now let’s jump down and read in verse 23. “In the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressions are come to full, a king of a fierce countenance and an understanding of dark sentences will stand up. His power will be mighty, but not by his own power. He will destroy wonderfully and prosper and practice and destroy the mighty and holy people.” Verse 15, “And through his policy, he will cause craft or witchcraft to prosper in his hand and he will magnify himself in his heart and by peace, destroy many.” I went to a meeting here in Colorado Springs in support of Israel earlier this year or last year. I don’t know when it was, but I went to a meeting in support and some Jews spoke, some Israeli people spoke, some of them born again, some of them probably not born again. But I notice one thing. I notice that a lot of the people of Israel just want peace. Some people want peace at any cost. By peace, the antichrist will destroy many. He’s not really gonna rain that long. You know, they asked me years ago, we moved to Kit Carson. We started a church in 1988. Some ladies at a women’s group in town that had different churches that met, asked me if I would come over and speak. They found out that I had traveled to Israel in 1987 when I was going in Bible school, and they asked me in 1987 did, they said, “Do you think there’s ever gonna be peace in the Middle East? I said, There’s not gonna be true peace until Jesus reign. And I said, the antichrist will give false peace for a little short time, but then he’ll be broken.” Listen, I’ve been right so far. He’s gonna prosper. He’s gonna operate in witchcraft, right? He’s gonna have a false prophet gonna do lying signs and wonders. He’s gonna stand up against the prince of princes, but he’ll be broken without him. Let’s jump really quickly to Second Thessalonians chapter two. I wanna show you something here. He’s talking about Jesus coming and our gathering to him in verse one. He says in verse two, second Thessalonians two, verse two, “Do not be shaken in mind that the day of Christ is at hand. I want you to understand when you see the term, the day of Christ in Bible prophecy, it can speak of anything from the time that Christ comes for his church clear throughout the millennial reign. So, it’s a very broad term. It can be used in a number of ways, covers a large period of time. Let no man deceive you. He says, by any means in verse three, for that will not come unless there first is a falling away and the man of sin, the sign of perdition be revealed.” He says, there’s gonna be a falling away. Let me tell you two things are happening. Biblical speaking. Number one, there is a falling away. First Timothy chapter four verse one says, “In the latter times, some will depart from the faith giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils.” Number two, there’s also a great revival. In Matthew chapter 24 and verse 13, I believe it says, he says, “Because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold. But then he says in verse 14, that this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all the world for a witness to all nations, and then shall the end come.” Two things are happening. One is there are people that are falling away, that people that are moving away from God. But there also is a great revival. Acts two, verse 17 says, “In the last days, sayeth God, I will pour out of my spirit on all flesh. Your sons and daughters will prophesy. Your old men will see visions. Your young men will dream dreams. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions, on my sermons and my hand means I’ll pour out of my spirit and it will come to pass that whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” So in the last days, two things are happening prophetically. One, there’s an apostasy. There’s people that are falling away. On the other hand, there’s a great revival and guess what? You make the choice. You can be in the revival or you can be in the falling away. It’s your choice. God’s not gonna make anybody serve him. So, I’m chosen. Listen, I’m not gonna be part of that falling away. I’m not gonna be part of this. People that are letting just lust and different things and pleasures and certain things control them, but I’m gonna stay red hot on fire for Jesus. I’m gonna keep loving Jesus. I’m gonna keep loving the word. I’m gonna stay connected to the body of Christ. I’m gonna keep giving. I’m gonna keep preaching the gospel.

Amen!

We live in a great time. We live in the greatest time. It’s to be alive. I so thank God that I can be alive today. Now he tells us a little bit about the antichrist. He says, He’s not gonna come into power till there’s a falling away. He says in verse four, two Thessalonians two verse four, “He opposes and exalts himself above all who is called God and that is worshiped and he is God sits in the temple of God showing that he is God. Remember not when I was with you, I told you these things and you know that he withholds or in the Greek restraints that he might be revealed in his time.” What is withholding? What is restraining? What is holding back to antichrist from coming into power? It’s the church. The church is the salt of the earth and the light of the world. Did you know that a foreign nation could never take over Israel unless they were backslidden or remove because Israel is a type of the church. And unless the church is backslidden or gone, that antichrist will never be able to take complete authority and power.

Amen.

You retrain something’s holding Him back. Glory to God. How of you know, we need to keep being salt. We need to keep being light. We need to keep speaking for God. We need to keep sharing Jesus with the world. He says in verse five, “Remember not when I was with you. I told you these things. Now he who restrains will restrain until he’s revealed in his time for the mystery of iniquity does already work. Only he who restrains again, will restrain in verse seven. He who lets a restraint will until he’s taken out of the way the church has to be removed. Then that wicked one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the spirit of his mouth and destroy with the brightness of his coming. Even him who’s coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders.” Let me tell you that all power is not the power of God. All signs are not signs of God. All wonders are not wonders of God. Hi, friends. I came kicking and screaming because I thought if I came to a word of faith, church, I’d find people puffed up with pride saying, “Look at me. I’m full of faith.” And when I got here, I found humility, real people that were going deeper. They knew the word. They loved Jesus. And it was an amazing experience for me. I just feel like I’m in family.

You know, recently my neighbor brought home a friend. His name is Oleg. He is from Russia. He has 3,800 employees currently. He said he scaled back. He works with money, keeping money secured in a number of like 40 or 50 countries. I began to visit with him. I told him in 1991, I went to Russia. In 1991, in September, we held meetings in St. Petersburg. They didn’t know whether to call it St. Petersburg, September of 1991 or to call it linen grad because they had just had a change of authority. I said The best thing that we had to eat was like cream and wheat with bugs. And I thought, “Well, praise God, they’ve been boiled. So they make good protein.” Now I saw in the fields there was much harvest, but it all, it was rotting in the fields. And he said, “Yes, I was working with the Russian government in that time because under communism people do not prosper, under socialism, people do not prosper. He said, That is true.” And we privatized the agricultural industry in Russia. And since then we got plenty of food and the food is not rotting in the fields. I told him, “I am a capitalist. And Oleg said, I am a capitalist too.” Hallelujah. And I told him about this great meeting that we had. Lester Sumrall was preaching and Billy Joe Daugherty was preaching. Rod Parsley was preaching. I was there because we had wheat and we shipped it on a truck to McPherson, Kansas, had it ground into flour, shipped it to the Gulf. They were handing out food and preaching the gospel. And I said the Russian Orthodox Church was stealing the tickets to the meetings ’cause they didn’t want anybody to come to these Pentecostal full gospel meetings. Well, it didn’t work. We had about 10,000 people and a lot of people were saved and a lot of churches were born and the gospel’s been going forward, thank God. Hallelujah, I went there in the early-2000s and when I went there, I went to on a mission trip and I preached at a church and that pastor of that church was saved in the meetings that when we were there in 1991, I thought, “This is amazing.” Hallelujah. I’ve been thanking God. I’ve been thanking God for my great grandparents that I knew who loved God and my grandparents worked for my grandfather. Such a great man of God, loved the message of grace. My dad who taught me how to work, thank God even though his life was cut short. Thank God for my mother who is a praying woman. Thank God for all these relationships that I’ve had in the gospel, being able to preach the gospel all over the world. Thank God for all of you here in this church. Praise God. What a marvelous life. What a great time we have to be alive in to share the gospel of Jesus. This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to the whole world and then shall the end come. I’m glad we get to preach Jesus to the ends of the world. So glad, oh yeah, there’s an antichrist, but I’m not looking for the antichrist. I’m looking for Jesus to come. Hallelujah. Yeah, he’s gonna come. He’s gonna have lion, signs and wonders. He’s gonna come. It says in verse 10, “All with deceiving unrighteousness in those parish because they didn’t love the truth. Keep loving God, keep loving Jesus. Keep loving the word that they might be saved for this. God will send them a strong delusion. They’d believe a lie that they might be damned to believe not the truth, but had pleasure and sin. That’s the real problem. A lot of these people that say they don’t wanna serve God, it’s really because they just love sin. Listen, I don’t wanna love sin. I wanna love God. Amen? Now, he talks about this. So he’s talking about the antichrist and he says he is gonna stand up in verse 25. Daniel 8:25, “We’re back here against the prince of princes, but he’ll be broken without a hand. The vision and the evening in the morning was tall as true or shut up, the vision for it will be for many days.” Nobody understood this vision Daniel said. Then, again, in Daniel chapter nine in verse one, he says, “In the first year of Darius, the son of Ahasuerus, the seed of the meads, which was made king over the realm of count ends. I, Daniel, understood by books the number of years and the word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah, the prophet that he would accomplish 70 years in the desolation of Jerusalem. He goes on and he said to people, we’re living in sin. Verse five, he was praying, we as sinned, committed inequity and done wickedly by departing from your precepts and your judgments. He says in verse nine, to the Lord, Our God belong mercy and forgiveness. Though we have rebelled against him. So God have mercy. He says in number of things, in verse 19, he says, Oh Lord, here, oh Lord, forgive, oh Lord, defer not for your sake, oh God, for the city and your people are called by your name. And then he begins to speak and Gabriel began to give him interpretation of his visions in certain things. In verse 22, he informed me and talked with me and said, Oh Daniel, I’m now come forth to give you skill and understanding. At the beginning of your prayer, the commandment came forth and I’m come to show you. For you’re greatly beloved, Therefore, understand the matter and consider the vision. 70 weeks. Now a week means in the Hebrew, a period of seven, a period, 70 periods of seven, seven years, that is, determined upon your people in the holy city to finish the transgression, to make an end of this and to make reconciliation for iniquity, to bring an everlasting righteousness to set up the vision, the prophecy. And he says, to anoint the most holy, know therefore, and understand in verse 25, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and build Jerusalem to the Messiah, the prince shall be seven weeks. So it’s gonna take 49 years, seven periods of seven to rebuild Jerusalem, and then three score in two weeks, the street will be built again in the wall, even in trouble as times.” what is the tribulation? Another name for the tribulation is the time of Jacob’s trouble. In Jeremiah chapter 30, verse seven, “The tribulation is not God dealing with the church to clean up the church.” If the blood of Jesus couldn’t clean you up, you’re not going to be clean. The tribulation is number one, primarily God dealing with the nation of Israel to bring them to Christ. Secondarily, according to Second Thessalonians chapter one, “It is God dealing with a world that is in rebellion, that is persecuted the church.” That’s what the Bible says. I want you to know this Bible is a Jewish book. I want you to know that Israel is not a political issue. Israel is a spiritual issue.

Amen.

I want you to know that life is not a political issue. Life is a spiritual issue. I want you to know that marriage is not a political issue. Marriage is a spiritual issue. I want you to know that male and female is not a political issue. Male and female is a spiritual issue. And let me tell you, if they’re wrong on life, they’re probably wrong on everything. And if they’re wrong on Israel, they’re wrong on a bunch of other stuff. And if they’re wrong on marriage, they’re wrong. And if they’re wrong on male and female, they’re wrong. And it’s time for the church to stand up and be salt. And it’s time for the church to stand up and be light. It’s time for the church to quit playing patty cake, to quit playing religious-seeker sensitive games and not try to be offensive. You’re offensive to God, you’re offensive to the Bible. You’re offensive to the Holy Spirit. You’re offensive to Jesus. So why don’t you stand up church of Jesus and stand for life and stand for truth, and stand for Israel and stand for marriage and stand for male and female.

Amen!

Stand up for what God said to stand up for and be counted. And by the way, if you are a Christian and you don’t vote, you ought to get saved. Hallelujah. Let me finish here. “Three score in two weeks, the Messiah will be cut off, but not for himself. The people of the prince shall come and destroy.” So a period of 69 total weeks, Daniel’s prophesying this, get this in about 538 BC, about 450 BC. Nehemiah chapter two, they give a commandment to rebuild Israel to rebuild Jerusalem. And 69 periods of seven, 483 years later happens to be 33 AD and it happens to be 33 AD that Jesus hung on a cross and cried out. It is finished. It’s amazing how accurate these prophecies are. So he talks about it after three score in two weeks, seven weeks and three scores, 69 total. “The Messiah will be cut off, but not for himself. The people, the prince will come and destroy that city and sanctuary, the and thereof will be at the flood to the end of the war of desolation, determined, and he will confirm the covenant. This is talking about the antichrist with many for one week and in the middle of the week, he will cause the sacrifice and ablation deceased for the over spreading of the abominations till he make it desolate, even to the consummation that determined, shall be poured out on the desolate.” My last point is this, you cannot negotiate with a terrorist.

Yes!

Anybody who thinks they can is crazy. Amen.
