When we were raising our family, and our children were very young it was important to us that they loved God.  As full-time Pastors, you could say our family spent a lot of time at church.  We did not want them to be bitter about that, but happy.

This is the message we communicated to our children:  

WE GET TO DO THIS!  We get to love God and His people.  We get to witness to others how much God loves them.  We get to worship God with our whole hearts.  We get to go to church and celebrate His goodness and faithfulness toward us!

The Bible tells us in Psalm 118:24, “This is the day the LORD has made; We will REJOICE and be glad in it.”  In other words, this is an amazing day God made for you and me!  See all the possibilities and opportunities your Heavenly Father has in store for you.

“This is the very day God acted – let’s CELEBRATE and be FESTIVE!”
